A luncheon was held to recognize and celebrate the young leaders who attended the 2025 Service Academies Leadership Conferences. Lessons on leadership, networking opportunities, impactful speakers and engaging discussions with cadets and peers are among the key takeaways shared by our 2025 attendees. Each year, the Allegacy Center for Leadership and Character sponsors WFU School of Business undergrads to attend a Service Academies Leadership Conference. Resiliency and authenticity were common themes at this year’s conferences.
In January, the US Naval Academy Leadership Conference was held in Annapolis, Maryland, where the theme was: Leading From Within – Embracing Authentic Leadership. Junior Allie Schmidt, Senior Matthew Facchine and School of Business Professor Douglas Johnson attended.
The US Air Force Academy National Character and Leadership Symposium was held in February in Colorado, where the theme was: Warrior Ethos. Juniors Liv Murphy and Juan Figueroa attended.
In March, Junior Ariana Adams attended the US Military Academy at West Point McDonald Conference for Leaders of Character. The theme was: Leading Organizations Through Change.
The Allegacy Center for Leadership and Character accepts nominations each fall from Wake Forest School of Business undergraduate faculty and staff for the Service Academies Conferences.
