“With Love, From the Forest” – ACLC Food Drive Served Community Members in Need

The Allegacy Center for Leadership and Character encouraged faculty, staff and students to open their hearts to community members in need this February. A food drive benefiting the Second Harvest Food Bank was held February 3rd – 12th.

The “With Love, from the Forest” campaign offered the chance to give online and to donate non-perishable food items. At the conclusion of the drive, just over $1,000 in monetary contributions were collected and 75 food items were delivered to the food bank.

The Second Harvest Food Bank states that one in six people in Northwest Carolina are food insecure. As the cost of living continues to increase and more families seek help, the contributions made will put meals on tables, help to restore dignity and remind neighbors that they are not alone.
