Center for Leadership & Character partners with MA program to deliver business capstone simulation course

What happens when students face the last big challenge of their graduate program? A big, energized effort that pulls together the best of what they’ve learned throughout the MA program and pits one team against another to “win” with a first place finish.

In the School of Business, the MA program runs a 5-day real-world business simulation, a capstone project. The Allegacy Center for Leadership & Character, in partnership with course instructor, Bren Varner, delivered a suite of tools including a video module, strategy, leadership, and ethical decision-making lessons, mock media interviews, and interactive debriefs to enhance the elements of leadership and character in the course and put to work all the students have learned in the MA program. Students gained motivation for their capstone experience and used what they learned to operate as effective business leaders who achieve results with integrity while striving to outperform the other teams.

Interactive elements within the video module include embedded videos, mouse-over buttons, layered content, narration, downloadable pdf documents, and embedded websites.
