Build an Extra Class Day! Choose Your Snow Day Adventure

Thursday, October 30th, 2014 • 3:30pm – 5:00pm

Snow days are coming! Be prepared with content you can deliver to students online, synchronously or asynchronously from home or any remote location. All you need is a computer or mobile device and an internet connection. You can deliver slides, videos, spreadsheets, images, or web pages and narrate using messaging, voice, or a webcam. Your learners will be able to participate by offering discussion and comments via messaging, voice, or webcam as well.

In this workshop, learners will gain an overview of three web tools useful for running a dynamic, interactive, virtual class including VoiceThread, Show and Share, and WebEx. By the end of the workshop, you will have most if not all of your snow day class prepared and ready to launch with little or no notice.

The Web Tools Workshop Series is open to all university faculty and staff. Workshops are self-contained and do not need to be taken in sequence.

The Collaborative Technologies Team, Instructional Technologies Group and the Allegacy Center for Leadership and Character are sponsoring this workshop
