ACLC Bed Build Supports Families in Need

On a beautiful fall day, School of Business faculty, staff and students were joined on the Farrell Hall terrace by staff from Allegacy Federal Credit Union to build 24 beds for families in need in our community, serving the nonprofit organization A Bed and A Book. In addition to serving children in Forsyth County who have no bed to sleep in, A Bed and A Book will deliver the beds we built to families in Western North Carolina who were displaced by recent flooding.

The ACLC also facilitated bed builds earlier in the morning for Douglas Johnson’s two classes, Managing People and Organizations, to help build leadership skills, develop teambuilding, and to help students think of social responsibility.
