Trey Ndlovu Attends West Point Conference

Trey, Ndlovu, BEM ’19, recently shared reflections on attending the McDonald Cadet Leadership Conference, March 21-24, 2019 at the United States Military Academy at West Point. The conference provides attendees from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to take part in team activities including experiential and analytical exercises to bring out leadership capabilities, build critical thinking and collaboration, and explore ways to address immediate global issues.

“The conference was a unique opportunity where I got the chance to share my leadership philosophy that has been grown and cultivated by my time at Wake Forest with a diverse group of my peers from all over the world,” Ndlovu commented. “The McDonald Conference for Leaders of Character incorporated how aspiring leaders must operate in a technology driven world, and we discussed ways in which we can best take advantage of technology to broaden our impact on our followers and develop ourselves.”

After engaging with a wide variety of attendees and cadets, Ndlovu talked about the impact of learning from the conference. “The conference, hosted by the prestigious United States Military Academy brought together an impressive catalogue of senior fellows and keynote speakers who were engaged in our development as future leaders within our future careers and in the world at large.”
