John Triplette, BEM ’19, reflected on his experience at the United States Air Force Academy National Character and Leadership Symposium in Colorado on February 21st and 22nd, 2019. The conference focused on the topic of “Leadership, Teamwork, and Organizational Management.” The symposium brings students and Air Force cadets together with military and business leaders to explore leadership topics and experiences.
After staying in the military setting and participating in the daily activities of the cadets, Triplette said he walked away with a much greater appreciation for their military experience and future opportunities to demonstrate leadership in a global setting. “Attending NCLS equipped me with numerous newfound leadership tools to effectively lead in all areas of my life. The combination of hearing the various stories of the accomplished speakers and spending time with cadets greatly inspired me to purposefully and intentionally act and lead.”
