Junior Cameron Kane has just returned from the 2016 Naval Academy Leadership Conference (NALC) at the US Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland. The annual conference, in its 32nd year, had representation of more than 200 participants from over 45 colleges. Cameron, a finance major with a minor in physics, was recommended by faculty, and selected to attend based on application submission in November.
Six undergraduate business students have been selected to represent Wake Forest at upcoming service academy leadership conferences. The service academy leadership conference program is in its third year, sponsored by the Center for Leadership and Character.
The Wake Forest ethics and leadership debate team, which is sponsored by the Center for Leadership and Character, competed this weekend in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Ethics Bowl and captured the top prize.
Following a month of service opportunities across WFU’s campus, students, faculty and staff were invited to participate in a servant leadership reflection: Building Success Through Service. October saw a Habitat wall build on campus as well as several opportunities to engage with CEO of Habitat for Humanity International, Jonathan Reckford.

WFU undergraduate business students are encouraged to apply to attend one of four upcoming service academy leadership conferences. Upcoming conferences will be held at the US Naval Academy, US Air Force Academy, The Citadel, and the US Military Academy at West Point.
The Center for Leadership and Character recently conducted a half-day Honorable Integration Workshop for faculty members to provide hands-on demonstrations of select tools to incorporate lead ethically and personal strengths into curricular, co- and extra-curricular activities.
The 2014-2015 Service Academy Leadership Conference Program has concluded its second year with great success. Six Wake Forest students represented the school at student leadership conferences at the United States Naval Academy, the United States Air Force Academy, The Citadel, and the United States Military Academy at West Point.
On Thursday, April 23, Center Executive Director, Dr. Sean Hannah, along with area women business leaders Ann Johnston, Judy Lambeth, and Melissa Combes judged the first annual Women’s Leader Development Legacy Project. This project, a part of Julie Wayne’s Leadership Experience class, involved students creating proposals to provide new opportunities for programs and initiatives to be incorporated into the School of Business and across the University.
The final service academy student leadership conference of the academic year was held April 16-19, 2015 at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Representing Wake Forest was senior business and enterprise management major, Nicole White.
